Enjoy these movie clips of choppers and chopper riders doing
what they do best... having fun!!!!
Our aim is to have many clips on this page. Some are unedited
and some were taken with mobile phones and have been put up by Paul
(CB500 chopper) as a trial run. The 5th and 6th movies
have been edited by Stoand in SA from heaps (and heaps) of footage
taken over the last couple of years of CA events...
This was where we met in January 2007. We then rode to the
National Motor Museum in Birdwood SA, for our first annual Choppers
Australia Muster. You can read about it on our 'Reports' webpage.
The 1942 WLA in this and the next clip was purchased by the rider's
father in about 1950. In 1970, the rider bobbed it using the
same sissy bar now on it. When he went onto bigger bikes,
notably a 1948 U model fully chopped, the WLA reverted back to dad
who used it as a sidecar bike until 2007, when it was again bobbed
into its current form. It's great for doing donuts and also
cruises at 80 k quite comfortably.
This 1983 Sportster was chopped for the rider's son. this was
the first time it was started in about 5 years, having had the full
chop treatment including a completely rebuilt motor. A couple
of weeks later it was ridden 2000 miles to Queensland in the company
of a chopped Shovel and a custom shovel without missing a beat.
A few pieces taken during a trip to visit Queensland Choppers
Australia members. The clips taken from a moving car came out
well considering the operator had never used a video camera before
and we had no trial runs as the sun had almost set. But
the joy of riding choppers is pretty obvious... Chopper in the first
clip is Tony on his Sportster (in the rain). The second clip
includes Prof on his red Shovel, Rob and Midnight on their black
Hondas (Rob's has the diamond tank) and VMax's purple Z1...
These clips were taken early 2008 on Prof's trip through Victoria
and Tasmania. First is of Bacca from Victoria on his 440
Kawasaki, then the Tassie group in Hobart. This is followed by
clips of Tank on his 1100 Kawasaki, Cowboy on his CB750 and Rudi on
his CB750 in the Cambridge Pub carpark. Last clip is of Andrew
also on a CB750...
