Almost all work was done by owner. Oil tank/battery box is hand built from heavy gauge steel. King/Queen seat is in two parts to allow easy access to battery. Seat was upholstered by Prof's 70 yr old mum!
Horn is from a... Honda, as are brake calipers. Rear caliper retains its original mount arm. Front caliper fitted with a very simple bracket from 10mm aluminium.
Close look at forward controls... They are set back in comparison to most 'cos owner likes to keep his knees bent.
Moulding for looks and easy cleaning. Simple fork stops purposely allow very tight turning circle. Slight bends in down tubes were required to align them when they were stretched.
Speedo cowl serves double purpose of preventing any flex in the pull backs. Owner rarely rides one handed because they are so incredibly comfortable... Mileage (k's) are correct.
Sandblasted frame ready to mould. Rear curved section follows mudguard line and supports seat and sissy bar and relocates shockers. Cross piece on original frame was removed and a new one added a couple of inches further back to allow battery to fit. You can also see oil filter mount behind gearbox and thin steel plate tack welded into steering head area in preparation for moulding....

After a great deal of debate, decided to cut down tubes to lower front of bike. Was a good decision. Note that tubes need further heating and bending to align them to fit slugs. Shows simple method of keeping alignment...

Bronze welding petrol tank is fine if you use a small flame and tack weld rather than doing long runs. Don't worry if you end up with some small leaks. POR 51 is an excellent tank sealer. Tank should be well washed to remove any fumes before lighting flame. Tank was an old Jawa tank and has had 4" added down centre plus a Yamaha petrol cap.
All the cans used to paint the bike. Spray cans can do a good job and are cheap, plus not hard to repair chips, scratches etc. Original engine, gearbox and chaincase were crinkle black. All but barrels were painstakingly strippedand polished by hand.
