Inexpensive solution to 5-7" extended forks for 900 posted by chopaweeza...

Use the 36mm tubes out of an 80's KX, KLX or KLR kawasaki. I've done it to kawasaki front ends about 15 times over the last 20 years and they work as good as Franks. You use the tube & top cap of the Crosser , a tube spacer to fit on the top of the springs and the rest is the original bikes parts. Those different models are slightly different lengths and they give between 5" & 7" extra. Crosser tubes are usually about $50-80 and the tube spacers another $5-10 .

It also works on Z650, Z750, Z1000 and Z1100 up til 1982. GPZ's with 37mm forks use RM125 tubes so on.

reminded me, i rode a honda four...in a stock frame with big Z triple clamps and hangers, gave the wholeshebang a real nice stance and as it was the 80's a mag wheel.
