A very special thanks !! ( mega ride )

Post by chop 69 » Mon Oct 19, 2009 11:20 pm

I would like to say a very special thanks to Ollie ( old fart ) and his wife for their extraordinary effort and hospitality that they provided to most of us, who were then strangers. They provided us with exceptionally good food for tea and breakfast - ( great runny eggs John, the big fella cook). Not to mention the Mexican beer for the northern riders and some Vic beers for those southerners. They opened there house for us to use as our own. I’m sure I speak on behalf of all of us, in saying how much your efforts were appreciated. THANK YOU !!! :D [/b]

My thanks to all those that put in to make this such a fantastic ride, time at Prof's was brilliant also. I wonder what I took my tent for? Prof's Biker Hilton was more than expected, Thanks all who made our stay most memorably.

I've just spent the last three hours sorting MR photos... hundreds of them... and some great in the wind shots of most of the riders with us up the coorong. Just finished labelling video clips taken on my camera... some nice bits. I'll see if Paul can put up a couple soon...

Excuse me if I dont' post much at the moment. I have CNB to get done, photos to organise and T shirts to post... as well as get back onto neglected jobs in the workshop.

Also some nice pics from the sunset beach ride... will edit a couple and get them up shortly.

Keith and Tiffo, it was memorable, and a pleasure to meet you both.
I see you have to fly at 900 K's an hour backwards, just to catch up with us!
I flew from Japan to SanFrancisco once and arrived there before I left.

A custom bike or a chopper should be something that has had the original essence of its existence altered to project the skills, objectives and artistic vision of its creator so the viewer or “beholder” and the creator can be positively stimulated by the actual bold or sublime beauty of the bike. Both need to project an essence of suitability, practicality, function and righteousness that has no stand for mediocrity or aesthetic blasphemy.
