I wanna keep the ride as raw and basic as possible, camping in fields and rest stops is my vote. :P

Mega Ride

Postby ol_750 » Tue Jan 13, 2009 8:13 pm

Hi Guys
I'm now an official member.....lol
But happy to offer my place as a camping stop over for those guys traveling down the coast. I'm just outside Newcastle & have plenty of room for bikes & tents.
I'm looking at makeing the run too , but still in the planing stages at the moment.
Cheers Andrew (WKD)

Camping in back yards, on the road side definitely goes with the hardtails and with the adventure. Putting up a tent in the rain is not comfortable, but sure great for reminiscing and there are worse things than wet leather. Cars with metal roofs have only been around a short while... and what about all the cowboy movies and riding in the rain!

I'd be more worried about the guy wearing his picnic blanket, riding the pink Trumpy

So...after scrolling thru 17 pages of general chit chat, what are the exact dates of the Mega ride? Please?

I believe a lot of you guys are forgetting the rest of our website, one page of which is called "Next Event". You will find dates and details on there. It is updated as new decisions are posted on these forums. Shortly Mega Ride Muster details will be updated to the latest proposal if there are no major objections.

Quite correct Andrew, my apologies. I automatically go to the Forums webpage.

Just trying to work out whether I'm working or not. So I can book some annual leave and come along.

What are you doing up at 3:30 am ?

Mrs PC here... using PC's login because I can't remember mine!

Now I know you lot think you are tough hardy men riding from Brisbane to Adelaide on your chops ...... but I found this and didn't know if anyone fancied doing this mega ride instead???

I guess the postie bikes have more suspension than PC's chop!!
