I downloaded a free program called Freecorder. It automatically saves any flv embedded file to the hard drive which include such programs as You Tube annd Metacafe. I have to cull out a lot of little vids which i don't want but it is worth the hassle. Cheers

Try this :

1 Clear your Temporary Internet Files of ALL files (select all - delete)
2 Play the Utube video
2 Go back to Temp Internet Files & find the BIGGEST file there. (it's easier if you "arrange by size")
3 Right click that file, Save As . Change the file extension to .flv
4. Go to the folder & change the name to what you want it to be, but keep the .flv
5 You may need to Download VLC Player to get it to play.

Clear as mud??
