I have a very large Pedistal drill I got recently for $100 or so to replace my old one. Both the old & the new are no name Chinese items and both worked a treat as I bought both from a specialised Tool Shop. Avoid Supercheap , go to actual specialist Tool Shops like Glenfords or Hare & Forbes and get a cheapy from them. Specialist Tool Shops generally buy better quality Chinese tools as a rule as they want no warantee returns . Just take a set square and a level with you so you can check it over thoroughly before buying. A good P Drill is one of the basics you need in any workshop.

I always stick my head in to cash converters when I go past, sometimes you can pick up a bargain, especially when they have a tool and don't know what it is!
