XV250 project

Post by JordLevus » Mon Aug 04, 2014 2:29 pm

Just planning on making it a cool cruiser while keeping it comfortable!

When I picked it up:

So far I have:

Removed the front fender:

Chopped the pipes:

Removed both chrome pods and added the pod filter/crankcase filter combo:

Hopefully have time to do some more (and bigger!) mods soon!

Small, short rear guard and small taillight will make all the difference.

Thanks Prof!
I've got little bullet indicators on the way, planning on figuring out the rear fender/tail light situation when i paint it!

Wrapped the pipes and blacked out the side pods on the weekend, i think I'm going to end up going satin black on the rest of the tins too.

Still waiting on indicators and mirros to arrive, then rear suspension, rear fender/light/license plate, then paint!

I don't know I think the other bars suited the bike better, just my opinion. Then again I don't know how the felt on the road, after all it's not just about the looks is it!
What is your opinion on the two different bars JordLevus? Looks and feel?

I prefer the look of the higher bars, especially when riding!
The handling i guess i can't comment on just yet, its been raining here and i've only got a couple of quick runs in, i'll keep you updated!

I'm happy to sell you the Z's if you got something they'll fit if you like them!!
