Hi All,

Bombala is on again on the 17th November 2012.

Anyone going or thinking of going???
I noted the following comment on the front page of the website -

"APOLOGY:- 2011’s Beer prices were to dear due to incorrect info. being received from our supplier. PROMISE:- 2012’s beer prices will be between $1.00 and $1.50 cheaper."

Seems we were not the only people who thought so.

Anyway any interest????

Smee Again,

Just spoke to Kerry and at this stage I will be going but will not be riding down as Kerry doesn't want to pillion all the way. Especially after the weather last year.

I will take the Van or Ute at this stage.
We will be leaving from work Friday afternoon (16th) and heading back Sunday (17th).

If anyone riding down from Sydney at least we will have a support vehicle.

Last time I went was back in 2000,I used to run a trade stall back then, it was a good time to get the hell out of Sydney as it was the same weekend the Olympics started. Back then it was billed as a celebration of motorcycles. When did it change to Bombala Bike Show.

Think it is still known as both but Bombala bike show seems to be the most "used" these days.
Same show.
Same complaints about cost of beer, who wins etc etc etc.

Last year ran into a Girl I went to school with who I hadn't seen for probably 20 years.

I like it, pretty laid back and had a good band last year, also some young bloke who played during the day, he was a cracker.

Well Bombala is done and dusted,
Weather was much better this time but not as many people turned up,
in fact their was only about 15% of the CA representatives compared to last year

Had a good time though with a young guy playing Saturday arvo then 3 more bands that night.
Took my own soft drinks and Kerry's Gin, Vodka, Red Bulls etc.

Glad I did because if you bought alchohol there you had to drink in a designated drinking area,
all locked behind a wire temporary fence with a couple of security guards making sure no
alchohol was taken outside the area. What a joke, bring your own grog and drink anywhere, support
the venue and buy your grog there and be penned up and watched over by security and police.

Anyway it was a good time and a few nooiice bikes were entered.

This won the best european and was a nice bit of kit.



This was one of my favourites. Looks even better in the flesh.



Not really my cup of tea, but the airbrush work was sensational.



This bike had unreal airbrush work as well and more to my taste.
