I have done a ZR750C1 1990 with a 2001 engine.
Had to modify rotor, and remount original pulser pickup (straightforward enough)
Key was CDI and assoc equipment had different part numbers.
So long as you have all the original motor, and the new one is complete, you should be ok, I'd think..
Time to start playing with the Vmax.
Oh and maybe I should finish the trike too!
