Crew,

There is heaps of PERKS now on offer.. for donating to the campaign.. plus some great advertising opportunities for business's... (anyone that donated prior to the perks being listed.. will have them applied to their donation).

Currently as it stands, Issue #1 will only be available to those pre-ordering thru the campaign (ie: there won't be any surplus left). So you'll need to be in it.. to secure your copy..!

Thank you for your continued support of DLM. As you may already likely know, I love pulling this all together and seeing the end result in print and on-line.

Unfortunately, with the current climate for small business not being too rosy and seeing most struggle.. it has become harder and harder for me to be able to lock in advertisers for the magazine (you have to be making good money to spend money on things like advertising), and to go to print I need to raise a minimum amount in advertising sales. For the last couple of issues it has been a real struggle and for the current build/next issue (#6) it has been even harder. It seems most small businesses are struggling at this time and I am not the kind of person who likes to hassle anyone for sales at the best of time.. more so, those that just can’t give anymore.

That said, I still want the mag to live on, so the current plan is to return it to ‘Online Only’ and ‘Free To All To View’.

Please Note: There will still be a small batch of printed media but in a new format: colour A4 brochure style publication (ie: with the exception of the front and back covers, the inside content A4 page will consist of the 2 x A5 layouts per page double sided, making the document about 20 pages in size). This will be produced for Contributors, bike owners, models, advertisers and current subscribers (if they select to receive it this way) so that they still receive a printed version. Any remaining stock will be offered for sale.

There will still be plenty of opportunities for business’s to advertise in each publication, plus there will be additional opportunities thru the use of banners.

The plus’s of going back to digital:
1. It will be free to all increasing the distribution and exposure significantly, a definite plus for our advertisers
2. It will allow me to make the publications as big or as small as I like
3. It can be published whenever I like (ie: once a year.. or 10+ times a year).!
4. Cheaper advertising packages will be on offer
5. I’ll personally be a lot happier and less stressed !!!
6. And more..!!!!

The new advertising costs will make advertising more affordable in this current climate, and will help cover costs (Adobe Suite, Online Software, Printed Brochures, etc).

Cost of Advertising per Issue will be:
• 1/4 page: $25
• 1/2 page: $50
• Full page: $75

For those who currently subscribe to DLM, there will be the following options:
1. Full refund of monies left owing on current subscription
2. Continue receiving publication via new format, or
3. Use remaining credit in DL online store

To the lovers of its current printed format, apologies, but I gave it a try and unfortunately, at this time we live in a DIGITAL WORLD (which is killing off printed media).. so I guess it’s time to embrace it..!

I truly hope you continue to be a part of the DLM family and who knows, things may change in the future and we may end up pumping this mag back out there in big printed numbers.. when times get better for all..! Fingers crossed..!

Thanks again for your Support.!
