The funny looking weld is because I forgot to turn on the gas, but just needed to hold things in place during assembly so no point grniding it off and redoing.

When Kevin's 500 unit motor came back, the kicker was very stiff. On pulling the gearbox cover off, we found that the tab washer was squashed. We could not get it to stay in place during reassembly, so tack welded it to the spacer ring. Assembly was now a breeze and the kicker is free like it is supposed to be.
