voltage regulator/rectifier

Post by podgy » Sat May 27, 2006 9:27 am

just some info about replacing the satndard voltage regulator and rectifier that are seperate items on a 750 4,the unit from a dohc model 1980 and up will do the job of both as its a combined unit and being solid state is less likely to give problems, the part number is sh236-12,these can be got on ebay for abot 75 usd including frieght, thats new if u try to get one here new u would be looking at $170 aud at least,if the wreckers are not aware of it u might be able to pick up a second hand one cheap.
the best way to tell if its what u want is look for the 3 yellow wires and a green,a white,a black.
hope that helps somebody
cheers podgy
