I think the addition of the milk crate will e of great benefit. Absolutely top idea, you'll have storage for long rides, a seat when you get there, it's water proof so it won't be damaged, it helps carry wet boxes back from the local without spillage.....truely you are a visionary.......good one 78

What a top day, Me n the 'offsider' were there, he's 11yrs old and said "Dad thats what a bike show should be like" he had a ball, the music, girls, dancing, food, bikes, bikes and when you went out into the street party type atmosphere - more bikes. Well some valuable advise there....if your a big bloke, over 5'!0" give the sporty a miss. Me 6'3" loved mine with a 1200 kit, but like riding a mini bike. 4 Speeds had gbox issues, should mostly be fixed by now. changed to 5's in 1990 i think. Personally id go the 85 FXR - *#@** hot bike, great mil...

Dutch is on the money i reckon. dont go to big, the hassel will be compounded by rego issues. Theres a few modern 500-650 engines id look for.
