Re: Just goin' to a meetin' ain't always that simple...

I suspect the connector block (see plastic) was touching seat bracket. Used the plastic bag as an insulator. Will however check whole wiring .

Just goin' to a meetin' ain't always that simple...

I'm a member of MRASA (Motorcycle Riders Association SA) and have been for many years as was my father. Before that we were members of FAM (Federation of Australian Motorcyclists) which in the mid seventies amalgamated with MRA. Members are welcome to sit on on monthly committee meetings. I have wan...

Getting up at 6am is not my favourite pastime, though once I get out to the workshop and see my chopper sitting ready to ride, my spirits pic up pretty quickly. Only a very shor...

Show us what you want to build and we'll watch with interest. Nothing wrong with Viragos by the way. I've chopped a number of them for customers.

Circumventing the RidikulusRool Peter's Evo Chopper derake...

Peter's newly purchased machine originates from interstate and therefore needs a number check to be registered in SA. They will check for general adherance to SA Road Rules (can't call it roadworthiness!!!) and the front end looks to be out past our nanny state's Ridikulus550Rool. A phone call and h...

Mile End Bike Meet June 2019...

I intended to have this up 3 hours ago, but when I started and got some music going on U tube (Henry Mancini Pink Panther theme) , Rilda joined me and at her request I started finding ballroom dancing clips. She was a very keen ballroom dancer from young, but unfortunately dipped out marrying me as ...

Re: Springer build with a difference...

Says he who just built his own with far less equipment and less experience! Traditional way of building using round stock and and drilled trees is simpler and easier to keep everything square. If anyone is contemplating using oval legs, there's far more measuring to keep everything square and weldin...

Re: Springer build with a difference...

Bottom pivots for front legs... Bottom pivots will run the same M16 shoulder screws as the rear legs. Could go back to M12, but will simplify rebushing if it is needed. Pivots are 24mm x 20mm cut out of 50x20 bar. One end will be machinedto 16mm to be a neat fit inside the legs... http://www.choppe...
