Re: not a chopper but .......

Re: not a chopper but .......

Here's a more standard set of clocks to give you an idea -
this a v45 magna set - odo / trip on the speedo -
volt / gear and a clock (new addition) on the tacho side.

Re: not a chopper but .......

Ok - so where to from here - these will give you a possible option to run a new electronic gauge with some extra info / in the old gauge housing and faceplate so you can maintain your original instrument look rather than some of the ugly Chinese dashes. I'm looking to get a few gauges sets together ...

Re: not a chopper but .......

the working unit - set as odo/trip on the speedo and voltmeter / gear at top of tacho and fuel on the bottom. IMG20170513131222.jpg i would expect this to be more applicable to the custom / deluxe gauges and in particular to other bikes where an upgrade but original appearance might be sought - eg c...

Re: not a chopper but .......

So this led to the concept of a generic gauge - it has two OLED displays - these can be set as ODOMETER, TRIP, FUEL, TEMP, VOLTAGE (+gear) OIL PRESSURE and one stepper driven needle - this can be set to TACHO or SPEEDO- All inputs are measured by the gauge - there are some jumpers on the back to con...

GL1200 engine

looking for a GL1200 engine - looking to do an ignition system that bolts on from the front -
need an engine at least to sort out the mechanicals - a runable engine would be even better.

any leads appreciated

Re: Has anybody chopped a VF Honda?

If I was doing a Vf chopper Id probably start with the magna or sabre rather than the interceptor -

If you dont know what I mean -
this is the magna in my shed
