The weather was beautiful for riding, so all day I was looking forwards to jumping on my trusty shovel chopper and riding into the city to I think the fourth Adelaide Bike Night. The following day (today) was to be the Hot rodder's swap meet at Kilburn, so I decided that being unable to get away on ...

He's done a nice job. It is a big tank. Will be interested to see how it blends in with the rest of the chopper.

Prof's 1948 Model U chopper 1974...

This was my second chopper. It took me 2 years to build and was finished with a few weeks to spare before riding it to Pt Pirie to start at my first teaching post in Feb 1974. The bike was a 1948 model U ex SA police bike that my father had purchased years before and always run with a sidecar. It ha...

Re: 3 degree cups on an Evo...

And the extra 3 degrees doesn't hurt low speed riding. Bike manufacturers could sure go out a bit further and produce a safer and nicer bike.

The weather was perfect for our first 2021 Midnight Ride. In the seventies when I was building choppers, after market guards were non existent and HD guards were virtually unobtainable. However, a really cool rear guard was a nice ...

Re: Full chop job with Meatballs springer on an XV650...

Back onto the air cleaner intake manifold. Crowy picked up a mandrel bend in mild steel as the previous effort was using some stainless. A quick trip on the shovel this morning to Crowy's got me the bend so I could get on with the job. Nice to take a quick run on the chopper! Mandrel bend is cut as ...
