maybe the engineering and costs involved to legally register a chopper has something to do with it being quiet. rules+regs+costs+all the hoops you jump through along the way results in people not wanting to build one, would like to build another one but costs of engineers certifcate alone turns me o...

pristic, what spec hardtail did you get? did you have to pay the high shipping cost? just been through engineering process myself in v.i.c on a raked xs,been done since early 80's but been unregisted for ten years. yes last week but i had to show him where to measure, he measured my forks from top of forks to the axle and told me its illegal cause its 900mm when i finnally convinced him the propper way to measure it was 500.

took it for roadworthy today, they hit it hard. 1. nuts on sides of headlight to be smooth? 2.front upper brake line loose. (fair enough) 3.lower brake hose dont meet standards. defenently king/queen seat sissy bar but thats after reg thought i better keep it simple till its done.

yep been a while since doing anything to the bike cause i started a full house reno and had to finish that first.(never again) but all finished so i got into the xs for the last couple weeks, cut the rear of moved rear guard back so it fits around the tyre better plus a set of short shocks. http://i...
